A lifelong Connecticut resident, Donna Hamzy Carroccia is one of the State’s leading advocates and tactical planners, impacting both the private and public sectors. In her current role as Chief Strategy Officer for the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, Donna drives short and long-term growth for the statewide organization and executes policy strategies on behalf of all 169 towns and cities – and municipal CEOs. Her work over the past few decades has secured hundreds of millions in State funding and positively affected how communities improve operations, increase regional collaboration, and adapt to changing business environments.

Widely recognized as a resource of knowledge and proven results, Donna’s success across Connecticut is rooted in trademark qualities – both as a consensus-builder and analytical thinker who positions data to advance implementation strategies. Her work on behalf of municipalities carries into her personal life with a strong commitment to community. Born in Bristol, Donna is married with a son and lives in Farmington where she serves as a Board Member of Winding Trails and is an active leader in their sustainability efforts. Donna holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
